Halo Novels Review

There have been many graphic novels that have been put out there most people do not know about or even heard of. This will be my Attempt to shed some light on the first 3 books since these are the only ones that i have read thus far.



Halo: The Fall of Reach
by: Eric Nylund

This first book is pretty much a prequel to the game Halo Combat Evolved and spans about 40 years. The book explains the Who What Where When Why and How of the whole Spartan Project. It goes in depth to how they picked the children to how they were trained, the enhancements they went threw and how the Spartans Grew to be a Family . and yes Master Chief wasn't the ONLY one there were many. I had found how they were Enhanced to be very interesting and the bonds they had with each other were Solid. I don't want to kill the twists for anyone but this book ends where Halo Combat Evolved Begins, and this is where the review for this ends.




Halo: The Flood

By: William C. Dietz

This second books really isn't my fave of the first three. This novel is pretty much Halo Combat Evolved in Book form. The action from the game really dose not translate well because in words its the same battle over and over and over. I am not going to Elaborate on this one much i am just going to say if you have played the first game then you know how the first book is, up until the end.....




Halo: First Strike

This is by far my fave out of the first three books. This one Starts off when Alpha Halo was destroyed. i Really do not want to Ruin it for anyone who decides to read the book because this book is filled with a lot of surprises and the only hint i am going to give is "Olly Olly oxen free" This book is set in between Halo and Halo 2 and dives in even deeper into the whole Haloverse


Well there is my feeble review of the books i hope that someone goes and picks these up and gives them a read because they are really great reads and if you are a fan of the whole Halo universe and will give you a better perspective when playing the games, I know for myself after reading the books and playing the games again for the millionth time it dose make it different, and you understand the other halo games like halo wars and the reason behind ODST and Reach
