Earlier this week, 4J Studios has shared that there will be an update, the 1.7.3 Title Update, for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition sometime this month. The team is attempting to bring the title up to par with the PC version of the game. Beta 1.8.3 will be next, followed by version 1.2.3, which will be the update to catch it up with the PC version.
Along with the update, the players will see the game's very first Skin Pack DLC. You can read the report from the news earlier this week HERE. As all we knew is that the update and first DLC pack was coming in July.
To keep us updated, 4J Studios tweeted on July 3rd that the update was going into Microsoft Certification test and it can take up to ten days for the test. A few days later, another tweet went out stating that they have completed 2 DLC packs and that they are now working on another 3.

Each pack will consist of 40+ skins, with a total of 120 different skins on their way. They will run 160 Microsoft Points ($2).
A sneak peek of some of the skin themes that will be available in the new update are the following:
- Creeper Man
- ‘Splosion Man
- Trials Man
- Covenant Grunt
- King
- Fable's Jack of Blades
- Banjo
- Ms 'Splosion
- Gears' Clayton Carmine
I will keep you all updated on the update. I know my kids keep asking!
