After what seemed like a debilitating week of seeing an error message upon trying to start up Armored Core V in online mode, AC pilots around North America (and Europe) rejoiced at the sight of a working server again. Since last week, online capabilities were shut down in the two regions, although online Free Battles were strangely still available from the offline menus.
This caused even more irritation among the NA fans, who have been waiting patiently for the patches and fixes that don't seem to be coming through over here, despite their constant appearance over on the JP server. When contacted about the server downtime, Namco Bandai's (known as 'Bamco' to the AC crowd for some reason) Live Help operator couldn't really offer a date as to when the server would be back up
Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA of when the servers will be up. We have forwarded off the information to the developers to look in to this issue. At this time, we can only recommend that you try again at a later time. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
After such a long maintenance time, many players speculated that the NA server would be getting the anticipated patches- however, there appears to be little in the way of new content at all.
Past the bleak-looking future of NA Armored Core V, several players have already returned to the daily online fun of the game, jumping straight back into missions, AC battles, and reorganizing teams for upcoming conquest rounds, showing that it doesn't quite matter how rocky the path to a stable game is, as long as you can pilot a giant mech and blow everything else away.
Which sounds like a very good idea to this gamer right now! Ciao!
