For those of you fellow El Pasoans, no, this is not a game based in our home town. It is though an interesting game brought together by some of Japan's most famed names from the gaming industry. On this dream team we have Nakaba Higurashi, who is mainly known for character creation on Baten Kaitos. We also find Hideo Minaba, who was the Art Director for Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy IX, Nobuo Uematsu who is the Music Composer for many of the Final Fantasy titles, and last but not least we have Kazushige Nojima who was the Scenario Writer for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII.
This powerhouse game development team got together to bring a new game to the table, Borderwalker. The game features a newer touch-based battling system. The systems controls basically breaks up the touchscreen into nine equal spaces in a grid. Touch each grid, or combination of spaces, initiates a certain command in the game. The game is a basic story, from what we've seen so far, of saving a world that has been torn into two. The two worlds are known as Perpetual Day and Perpetual Night. Borderwalkers is available now on iTunes for about $11, or I should say ¥900 because it is currently only available through the Japanese App Store. Game On!!
