The current generation of consoles is just about to be put to ground. I am standing over its twitching, bloated corpse. My handkerchief moist with tears. We sing heartbreaking hymns, recite arbitrary psalms and hold hands when it all becomes too much. I will look back on these gaming years with contentment and mirth.
So satisfied am I, that if my gaming life came to an end here at the close of this cycle of consoles, I would say I went out at the top of the medium's game.
There is nothing left to want.
Why am I so docile? Why do I accept my fate with such confidence? Simple.
Capcom has given me the world this time around. Full and completely realized
sequels of my favorite game series from Street Fighter to Resident Evil. I can die now.
I feel like Catwoman telling Batman: You don't owe these people anymore, you've already given them everything. To which Batman replies: Not everything, not yet. That's Capcom people!
The newest game from the company, Remember Me is due out in May of 2013.
I could explain the trailer to you, but why? Watch it; it's gorgeous!
Nothing like new intellectual property from Capcom. Remember when you're complaining about Capcom repackaging their library of legends, there are always new kings around the corner.
