Or just don't buy Fez. Why you ask? Developer Polytron says they cannot fix their recent patch without having to shell out a bunch of money to Microsoft. It involves a save file corruption issue that occurs toward the end of the game. A game breaking glitch if you will. According to them this only happens to less than one percent of their players and it can be remedied by starting a new game.
Phil Fish, everyone's favorite developer personality, just said in a recent post on their website that if this would have been on Steam they would have been able to patch the game almost immediately and at no extra cost either.
Rather strange coming from someone who said that PCs are for spread sheets not videogames.
To be fair Phil Fish did reassure everyone about the quality of the current patch.
"The patch fixes almost everything that’s been wrong with the game since launch. The framerate issues, the loading, the skips, the death loops, everything! All that stuff is fixed! And right now, nobody can get to it since the patch was pulled. For 99% of people, it makes FEZ a better game."
If all of this is true the game might still be worth getting on XBL.
Fez says good day to you XBL fans.
