E3 Impression Forza Horizon
Turn 10 Studios is at it again, coming out on October 23 Forza Horizon will be out for the Xbox 360. Playing the demo I noticed something from the start, the Dodge Viper you drive in the demo has a good feel of grip. Pressing the brakes with the controller the wheels didn't lock up an felt like I had good control of the car. During the gameplay you're racing on a somewhat country hillside against 10 A.I. I talked with some of the people in at the booth. Forza Horizon is an open world racing game that takes place in Colorado. It will have a very diverse environmient and beautiful scenery. If you can see it on the map, you can drive to it. The game will have a real time 24 hour day & night system. Driving around the streets there will be around 65 different road surface types you will come across. What that said, Forza Horizon is introducing rally driving for the first time. As they stated that Horizon will be a pick up and play title. You will be able to just jump into races, drive around the streets earing points for weaving trough traffic, drifting around corners, smashing through things. All of these things reward you with money and new cars. Everything you do is tracked and posted in for your friends to see. Somewhat the same at the Autolog system in the Need for Speed games. All single mode games can be played in multiplayer and some of the other fun game modes from Forza 4 like Cat & Mouse, Tag and Elimination. You will still be able to spend time upgrading and customizing your cars as well. They wouldn't say but there will be a wide variety of cars to choose from to keep you entertained. With this new festival style of speed, music racing event. The Forza staff is holding their cards close to their chest until the game is set to release in October.
