Square Enix joins the recent iOS support by announcing a new title in its critically acclaimed series, Final Fantasy.
A few weeks ago Capcom announced an iOS title for its series, Mega Man X. Square Enix is not far behind by announcing a new iOS title, Final Fantasy Dimensions.
The game is not an entirely new entry to the series as it is an enhanced version of Final Fantasy Legends, which is an episodic series that hit Japanese mobile phones in 2010. According to several sources Dimensions will be available for the first time in English and it will feature enhanced controls and graphics, no statement has been given by Square, on whether or not the game will be released in episodes or if it will be a single release. According to the opinions of those who have played the game, the touch based controls feel awkward and have room to improve.
Although the nature of the release of the game is not known, Final Fantasy Dimensions will be releasing on August 31st, 2012.
