• GameStop entering hardware market

Earlier this year, GameStop officially announced it's intentions to enter into the technology hardware market. Now they have officially announced that their "gaming tablet" will be running on Android software. In addition to the Android OS, it will be sporting a full touchscreen and a custom controller interface.

GameStop has stated that the tablet will come preloaded with some games (probably bloatware demos). One of it's goals with this tablet is to stream full retail releases to the tablet, and have a focus on Cloud-based gaming a la OnLive, which explains GameStops recent acquisition of Spawn Labs , a game streaming startup company, last spring. GameStop has also expressed an interest in having third-party exclusive titles come to it's tablet also.

Neither a price or release date has been set yet.

I don't like Gamestop, they have the potential to be the best store in the world, but continue to fall short.

I don't like them either, but I only go to them for obscure used games for my game collection like
        Bust a Groove 1 &2.
