Grateful Dead and The Smithereens headed to Rock Band next week
A six pack of Grateful Dead is headed to Rock Band next week. Harmonix and MTV Games announced the six Grateful Dead tracks that will be added to the Rock Band music library to make a total of 19 Grateful Dead songs available for fans. The songs to be added are “Beat It on Down the Line”, “Cumberland Blues”, “Scarlet Begonias”, “Throwing Stones”, “Touch of Grey” and “U.S. Blues.”
The tracks will be made available on May 18 through a bundle, “Grateful Dead Pack 03” for 800 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 or $9.99 for PlayStation 3. The tracks may also be purchased individually at 160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360, $1.99 for the PlayStation 3 or you can pick them up for your Wii for 200 Wii Points.
Also availabe next week, May 18, will be a couple of songs by The Smithereens who will be making a Rock Band debut. The Smithereens are currently working on a new album that is expected to hit shelves later this year.
For now players will be able to pick up songs from their older albums Green Thoughts and 11 that were released in 1988 and 1989. “A Girl Like You” and “Only a Memory” will also be available on May 18. The tracks will be sold individually at 160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360, $1.99 for the PlayStation 3 or 200 Wii Points.
