Hideo Kojima has recently twitted that he is interested in the long running Horror series, Silent Hill.
According to Kojima's twitter he recently borrowed the Silent Hill movie and has since sparked interest in the Konami owned series. The veteran game director and designer has stated that he sees potential in the series if a new installment is made using the engine that is powering his future games, the FOX engine.
" 'Silent Hill' is in closed room setting and doesn't require full action so that we can focus on the graphic quality. Enemy doesn't have to be a lot or move fast. It only requires scariness by graphics and presentation. As being a creator making action game in open world, such game is very enviously attractive. Wish someone could create this on FOX engine." Kojima stated on his twitter account.
Although Kojima never states directly that he himself would like to create a new installment on the long standing horror series, it does present a possibility for him to influence a developer into making a new installment using the FOX engine. Kojima might not be known for his Survival Horror games, but his influence could be a good thing for Silent Hill.
