If I had to pick 2 things that stood out for me as a kid, I would have to say LEGOs and video games. Here's a Kickstarter that I can't wait to see that incorporates both. Zachary Pollock is a LEGO brick artist and is looking for some funding for his next project. His plan is to recreate the entire first level of Super Mario Bros. world 1-1 out of LEGO blocks.
Zachary will represent each pixel with 1 block to make the project use over 780,000 Lego studs and stand over six feet tall and over 90 feet wide. I'm still not sure why Nintendo doesn't just fund this project in its entirety since it works in their favor. Zachary will also try to have it displayed at as many LEGO and video game conventions he can.
