• Kid Icarus: Uprising Developers Close Doors

This is really unfortunate news. Project Sora, who was largely responsible for giving the 3DS one of its best games, Kid Icarus: Uprising, is closing shop for good. Uprising may have been the developer's only game but it sure was a great one. In fact, Project Sora shut down on June 30 and its website is set to follow by the end of the month.

Project Sora's leader, Masahiro Sakurai, originally founded the developer back in 2009 shortly after the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. We know that Sakurai mentioned that there are no current plans to develop a sequel for Kid Icarus: Uprising and that he would be giving his undivided attention to the eagerly anticipated new partnership with Namco for the next Super Smash Bros. game.

All the best for the staff of Project Sora. They made Nintendo's beloved angel fly again.
