
Yeah that's right. Eurogamer just recently approached Yoshida at Gamescom. This was what he had to say during their interview.
"The team is still working on it very hard. There are certain technical issues they've been working on. That's the period of time when the game, looking from the outside, doesn't seem to be making much progress. But internally there is a lot of work going into creating the title."
According to Yoshida the cause for the delay was a whole bunch of work that Sony's Japan studio had to redo. The game was thought to be playable at first but there were still a myriad of technical issues that the studio had to resolve first.
Yoshida put aside any speculation that this game was being pushed to the PS4 and will remain a PS3 title. At least for now. "The game is developed on PS3" he says.
Don't despair Team Ico fans. The Last Guardian was down but not out.
