• The Last of Us trailer meets Dead Island

While Naughty Dog wanted to create a game that emphasizes on the bond between Ellie and Joel. This bond is said to be a type of “a father-daughter-like relationship”. Naughty Dog wanted to bring out the emotions of the player with the Last of Us.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Creative Director, Neil Druckmann, explained:

In any other medium it’s all about the characters. [We want you to] care so when horrible things happen you feel something. That’s what Naughty Dog can bring to the genre and really own it: every decision we make is about the characters and their relationship.
The trailer that debuted at this year's VGAs was interesting enough as it is, however, PlayStation LifeStyle took it a step further, to really emphasize on this bond.

Here is the original trailer for The Last of Us.

      PlayStation LifeStyle stated:

The Dead Island trailer rocked the gaming world, with the 3 minute video showing a game unlike any other – a family torn to pieces by zombies, fighting for each other’s survival until the very end. Naughty Dog were also profoundly affected by the trailer, believing it represented a game much like The Last of Us, and fearing that it might be too similar. With that in mind, we’ve remixed the trailer for The Last of Us to look like Dead Island‘s powerful video.
Here is the trailer they remixed. Share your opinions below.

Hmmm, so Drake changed his name to Joel and Ellie is really his and Elena's kid? I'd like to see where this goes. Maybe a third-person zombie survival with Uncharted's mechanics? I don't know. I prefer the original trailer since it's the one I saw first.

I was thinking the same thing Jason, I'm kinda disappointed with this announcement. I love Naughty Dog, but expect more from them rather than jumping on this dying zombie trend. Give us a brand new ip with new fresh ideas. I really disliked Uncharted 3 and this just seems like it's Uncharted 1,2,3 DLC.

Well Gusto this is a new IP, now its still a same crappy fad genre of Zombie survival. I'm going to keep up to date with this game. Just cause I see that Naughty Dog is doing it, there may be new features to this but cant tell cause of a trailer. Just have to wait and see.

well if it's left 4 dead with the uncharted engine, I'd be down. Id love to do uncharted with 4 players 3rd person instead of 1st person.
