• Mass Effect 3 CG Trailer Features a Little Girl, Reapers, and is Awesome

Things like this are not making the wait for March 6 any easier. This trailer for Mass Effect 3, which premiered tonight during The Walking Dead, is all CG. That may turn off some people, but not me. I'm turned on. Shepard, Ashley Williams, Reapers, Husks, warfare. The Reapers are coming. It's almost time to take Earth back.

The situation is looking bleak. Earth is in ruins. "That poor little girl," you might say. Well, I say, "those poor Reapers." They've incurred the wrath of the one, the only Commander Shepard, and retribution is on the horizon.

As if this wasn't enough, though, the end of the trailer promises an 'extended cut' this Tuesday. Sign me up.

I was watching The Walking Dead and when I saw the girl I was like, "What? A new Toy Story?"

I don't think it was possible for me to have hit the dislike button any faster

I liked what I played of the first game when I was in Germany for a month. I had started with the 2nd but then they were all like "wait have you even played the first" i was like no and ended up playing a good chunk of it. I've always wanted to go back and finish the first then move on to the second but haven't had a console. Hopefully I can get one one day ^_^ Mass Effect has always been good looking and has a fantastic story.

I joked about the dislike button. Trailer was good, although I can't say I like the whole "The world is being attacked and it's up to you to save it from da alienz" angle that has been done to death in every game we played so far. I don't know enough about the series to give them the benefit of the doubt with the notion that they have been building up to it with the story from the previous games. Even if they did so it still irks me though.

Judecca, man, you can't be more misguided when it comes to this. Everything has been building up since the first game. They were low-key compared to the all-out war that's happening in ME3 due to the events of the first two. This is the first time Earth is even appearing in the series. There's a reason for it, too.

Which I had a feeling was the case just wasn't really sure. So far from what I have seen from the demo it seems good but I'm gonna have to take your word with a grain of salt cause of your obvious bias. I'll read some reviews on it whenever I got the time.

Judecca your point is moot, I know for a fact that you have not played either ME1 or 2 or the ME3 Demo...How can you develop an opinion just based on others opinions? Play the games...they are awesome...and way more in depth then just "the aliens invade, must defend earth".

Actually I have beaten ME1 and really enjoyed. ME2 I picked up for PC during the steam sale but put it down after a couple of hours cause of other games like Skyrim and such. I may have not played the ME3 demo but from what I saw in the footage from youtube the combat seems more fluid than before which earns it more points in my book. What I meant about the saving the earth from aliens angle was that it has been done plenty of times in other games not the mass effect series. But I also specifically stated that I don't know/remember enough about the story line and how it was building up to this.
