You have to admire Rockstar Games first and foremost. If you celebrate or demonize their catalog of games, one thing cannot be denied. Rockstar delivers a product with a style and gravitas other publishers would sell their investors to perfectly emulate. Games like Red Dead Redemption and the palatial L.A. Noire have supported robust downloadable suites; while Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt have dared you to look upon them. Each title is backed by coffers so large that the universe is a void around them.
That is why it is no surprise that Max Payne 3, just now coming off the manufacturer's press, looks to preen and then stomp those titles in its wake. Via a lavish and free downloadable comic straight from the publishing empire that Spiderman and Wolverine built, Marvel comics delivers Max Payne and bullet time.

If you never had the pleasure of playing the first 2 games in the Max Payne series, this comic will in some ways bring you up to the first rain of shotguns in Max Payne 3. There will also be a limited print run of the comic in retail channels in the near future.
