Crazy. Ridiculous. Over-the-top. These things all describe Platinum Games' action hack-and-slash Bayonetta, and now that they've joined Kojima Productions in the development of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the same can be said for the MGS spinoff title. Just take a look at this E3 trailer, which premiered tonight during Konami's pre-E3 show, and you'll see what I mean.
Crazy, ridiculous and over-the-top, right? As a die-hard MGS fanboy, I'm surprisingly okay with this. This isn't MGS. It's MGR, Metal Gear Rising. It's a spin-off, and if everybody accepts it as one, I think a lot of fun could be had.
As seen at the end of the trailer, the game now has a tentative "Early 2013" release date for PS3 and Xbox 360.
