I'm literally at a loss for words right now. Today, Hideo Kojima showed the world what his next endeavor in the Metal Gear Solid series is, and in doing so, unveiled his brand new FOX Engine in action. I'm not gonna say anything else. Just watch this nearly-11 minute video that shows Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes in action in cutscene form before seamlessly blending into gameplay. It is absolutely mindblowing.
The future of gaming is here.
Keep in mind, MGS: GZ is NOT a next-gen title. This is not a tech demo. It will be available for PS3, Xbox and possibly the PC.
As far as the content of what's being said and who's in the trailer, my suspicions were correct. That is Big Boss, and MGS: GZ looks to be a direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, set some time in the 1970's or 80's.
Kojima also said that MGS: GZ will be a "prologue" to Metal Gear Solid 5.
