Mirror's Edge 2 Still in EA's Thoughts
Mirror's Edge was released back in 2008 from developer DICE. It was a unique take on the First-Person genre of games giving you control of Faith, a courier who carries communications and information around the city. What set Mirror's Edge apart from other First Person Action Adventure games was its style of gameplay.
Executive producer Patrick Bach was reported in an IGN
interview that Mirror's Edge is a property "we love, and of course we haven't killed it, because it's too good to kill."
EA president Frank Gibeau has also been quoted for saying "We love Faith. We love the property. It's really about how and when do you bring it back? It's on the list. It's just about looking at what teams are available, who's got the right quality approach to it, and who understands it."
This isn't the first time a Mirror's Edge 2 has been talked about. At E3 2011, interviews with Frank Gibeau state that Mirror's Edge 2 could be running on the Frostbite 2 engine.
