At GamesCom this past week, Tecmo Koei announced the additions of Eliot and Brad Wong to the list of fighters that will be featured in the upcoming Dead or Alive 5. With the game's September 17th release date just around the corner, there's a good chance that even more newcomers will be announced. Andriasang provided the details from Famitsu's interview with Yousuke Hayashi, where it was hinted that these as of yet unannounced characters may be from both Dead or Alive or Virtua Fighter. Some characters of course may purposefully be kept hidden as secret unlockables. In previous discussions about the game's character roster, Tecmo Koei staff have stated that DLC is out of the question, feeling that having gamers who have already purchased the game keep paying was unfair.
Also in the interview, Hayashi describes Tecmo Koei's desire to create some of the cutest girls in gaming history. With dedicated boob jiggle physics, bunny costumes and swimsuits, they certainly will have a grasp on sex appeal. Surprisingly however, I found the swimsuits of the ladies to be fairly tame compared to what we've seen in past DoA games.
