With E3 around the corner, Square Enix has dropped a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2 right in our laps. While the trailer isn't exactly long as the first one was, or long enough for that matter, it does show some of the gameplay that will be featured in the game. If you've played through Final Fantasy XIII, you'll notice that the Paradigm Shift method of Final Fantasy XIII's battle system will travel over to Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Though not all the trailer shows is familiar. There are a few new faces that appear, no doubt these are characters that will be playable in Final Fantasy XIII-2. What we know so far is that Lightning, the female protagonist from Final Fantasy XIII, has been transported away from the world of Gran Pulse and appears in another mysterious world, clad in beautiful silver armor. There appears to be ties to the events of the story of the first game, but no specifics have been announced just yet.
With E3 set to begin this week Square Enix should be covering some more information of the game as it's displayed on the show floor. Stay tuned for additional information on Final Fantasy XIII-2 and don't forget to watch the trailer below.
