• Next Money Making Game for Kinect Will Be Called: Harry Potter for Kinect

The Harry Potter series follows in the footsteps of Kinect Star Wars with its very own Kinect game titled: Harry Potter for Kinect. No really, that's what the game is called: Harry Potter FOR Kinect. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment probably had dollar signs in their eyes if they couldn't consider a title like Harry Potter Kinect or even Kinect Harry Potter.

Well anyway, the game will be an adventure through all seven Potter books. Obviously you'll tag along with Harry, Ron, and Hermione from the boy wizard's introduction in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, to teenage love problems in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm a fan of the Harry Potter series, a big fan. However, it's the Kinect games that get me nervous and game adaptations of movies are usually crap. At least with the Lego Harry Potter games I didn't have to take it seriously.

It could partly suck but maybe "Pottheads" will enjoy it. Kinect will make use of voice commands so that you can say spells a la the books and movies. See a Dementor on its way to give you a kiss, just shout "Expecto Patronum" and wiggle your arm to keep it at bay. So that's something that should cater to fans, because unless you're like me and have read every book, multiple times, and seen the movies, also multiple times, you may not know a lot of the spells uttered in the series. If it's at E3 I'll try to get some footage. I'm curious, but I'm also prepared to be disappointed.

**Update. According to the Facebook Harry Potter page, Harry Potter for Kinect will be able to use Kinect's scanning technology to scan your face to create a witch or wizard that looks like you.
