The Metroid Blast attraction for Nintendo Land was demoed, showing two players taking to the skies and the ground to defeat the enemies. One player was flying the ship above and the other was working the ground by foot. This is just one mission of the game and you can have more than two players. The player uses motion to aim their weapons. There are two additional modes in the Metroid Blast attraction of Nintendo Land: Ground vs Airs and a ground only multiplayer free for all.
One more team attraction for Nintendo Land was announced today and that was Pikmin Adventure.
New Super Mario Bros. U will be available at launch. You can play as your Mii and two new modes were announced. The Boost Rush Mode will have the players racing to complete scrolling levels as fast as they can. There will be challenges that will be various objective-based mini-levels.
LEGO City Undercover was announced at E3 this year. During the Wii U Preview for Nintendo Direct, they detailed that the player will go undercover as Chase McCane and fight Max Fury and the crime wave over the city. The pre-order bonus was also announced and it will be a special LEGO figure of Chase McCane at a limited run.
Nintendo TVii was unveiled. Live TV, Hulu, Netflix...everything you subscribe to, will be accessed through Nintendo TVii. You can watch trailers on the GamePad while a movie is playing on your television. Sports, TV, movies, your favorite shows - they will all be there. The Search and Favorites options makes it easier to find what you are looking for. Every family member can have their own settings on Wii TVii, or opt not too. Sections of the shows will show as thumbnail with a description to give you highlights of what you may have missed, if you didn't DVR the program. You will be able to share and comment the highlight through Facebook and Twitter. Sports will take on a whole new social media role with the ability to share stats, players, scores, and the highlights are still being captured if you are on the system. Nintendo TVii is going to be included in every Wii U system, at no extra cost to the consumer.
