• Nintendo Power Stops Publication

Even if it was once in your life, have you ever picked up and leafed through a copy of Nintendo Power magazine? Any and every time that I'd go to a Wal-Mart, Target, or some kind of retailer that sold Nintendo Power I'd always take a look through one to see what was going on in the industry. Yeah that was when I was a kid. Before the miracle of the world wide web allowed me to know what was going on in gaming much faster.

Sadly, it looks like things are going downhill for the magazine as the preference for digital publication over print publication bites at their heels. Staff of Nintendo Power were notified of the closure last week and have since begun moving to other leading gaming publishers, such as GamesRadar and MacLife. There are, however, issues of Nintendo Power that have yet to be published but there's no news yet about how these remaining issues will be published. There are over 475,000 active subscribers to the magazine and they, too, aren't sure how they will be compensated for their terminated subscription.

The magazine had difficulty with Nintendo, saying that they were "uninterested" in making the move towards digital distribution. Nintendo has yet to comment on Nintendo Power's situation.
