While most who compete for the coveted title at the World Pokemon Championships get a meager 15 minutes of fame followed by a lifetime of being "that guy who was the good at that kids game", this year there is a little more on the line. Select participants will actually me immortalized as a downloadable trainers in Pokemon White 2 and Pokemon Black 2! There is no word on how these individuals will be chosen but I'm sure a funny costume and backstory will help.
Pokemon Championships start August 9th in Hawaii, with participants being the winners of various regional tournaments in 25 different countries.
Believe it or not, as awesome as my Weather Team is, I failed to qualify for Worlds this year. Unfortunately that means you won't get to play against an NPC version of WildCardCorsair, but that is probably a good thing for you.
