Raptr allows members to add their gamertags from Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Steam and more. Raptr then will track your gameplay, achievements and many more integrations from the major platforms to allow the users to easily access them from the Raptr client.
Synch your Facebook and Twitter accounts, among other social networks, to send automatic tweets and messages to let your friends know what you're playing so they can jump on, too! Not only that, as I've explained before, you can also customize what tweets and messages go out.
You can have messages sent out when:
- you want to share your live activity when starting a game (within 5 mins) If you play a lot of games, you may want to use the daily summary instead to avoid overwhelming your friends.
- you manually update your status on Raptr
- there is a daily summary of gaming activity
- You surpass your friends in achievements
- Raptr detects new achievements
- Raptr detects a synced character reaches a new level
- Raptr detects new hardware peripherals

Users also can take advantage of the new instant message feature. Go through your friends list, if you see somebody playing a game on Xbox 360, you can send them an IM message using the Raptr client and they will receive it like an ordinary Xbox 360 pop up message and reply as usual, all in real time. Nothing will look different on their end and your screen will display as an IM screen. Of course this feature is available across all platforms, including Facebook, AIM and Yahoo Messenger. You can start using the IM feature by getting it at the Raptr Client.
PC gamers have struggled with IM's while gaming. It's not fun to have to toggle out of our gaming window to respond to an IM. The "alt" key is no longer needed to IM, using Raptr. They knew that most games are full-screen applications and Raptr wanted to create an IM system that would not interfere with your game. Raptr now contains in-game overlay technology that will allow the player to receive messages on top of the game. Before you ask if this will be a distracting, in-your-face pop-up, no need, I asked for you. Dennis explained that the pop-up will come out as an opaque message that comes up on the bottom right and is configurable to show up wherever you wish. A screenshot can be viewed in the thumbnails below.
PC gamers have something else in store. In addition to major consoles getting their integration glory, Steam has also been added to the group. The Raptr client now supports Steam and can send out messages about Steam updates, as well.
You can also pull up your friends list to see what they are doing on all platforms supported by Raptr. Not only will it tell you who's online and what game they're playing, Raptr will go into more detail and let you know what mode they are playing and what map they are currently on.

There is a neat feature currently on the iPhone app that allows you to search through your friends on Twitter and in your contacts to find friends currently using Raptr to add them on. The IM feature is also available on through the iPhone app, as well.
