• Rumor Mill: Is Nintendo Attempting to Gain Ownership of Banjo & Kazooie?

Once upon a time, there was a company called Rare, and they knew how to make video games. It seemed as though for any genre they worked on, it was golden, such as: Battletoads, Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Diddy Kong Racing & Jet Force Gemini.

However, out of all of their creations, there was one character that stood out from all the rest, and that character was...

      -----Conker the Squirrel-----

In all seriousness though, Banjo & Kazooie could very well be seen as the flagship characters for Rare as they were pretty much their answer to "that Italian gentleman." While Rare was awesome during the 90s, after they were purchased by Microsoft, their games suddenly plummeted. Personally, I enjoyed Viva Pinata and even Nuts and Bolts, and a few of the games they made still received a positive reception, but everyone seems to agree that the games nowadays aren't up to par as the games from yester-year. Even today, Rare is working more on Xbox Avatars and Kinect than they are on games (leaving so many people wanting Killer Instinct 3, but they will never get it).

However, recently a new rumor is being passed around about Nintendo's interest in buying Rare, or more specifically: the Banjo-Kazooie series. If this is true, could that mean that we will see Rare shine once again? Will we see a traditional platforming Banjo-Kazooie game again?

A lot of people's fingers are crossed right now in hopes that this is true.
