For all you fanatics of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure who absolutely must have every last figure in its collection, well you're about to be poor yet again. Activision has just announced that the next game in the series, Skylanders Giants will be hitting retail store shelves on October 21.

Of course, not only will the new game be dropping but a whole collection of new characters (figures) including the recently announced (at E3) giants. I got to sit behind a closed door demo for the game at E3, and I can say that anyone who enjoyed the first game is in for a treat with Skylanders Giants. So prepare your wallets as well as your shelf space because the giants figures are slightly larger than their Skylanders counterparts. Time to get back to collecting!
Of course, your current set of figures will be compatible with the new game.
