Usually when you look up mash-up on youtube, you may find some nicely done remixes of your favorite songs. However, in the case of SNESology, we get to see some very well executed remixes of classic SNES titles mixed in with titles from the here and now.
Back in May, Shnabubula released "SNESology," which is a free collection of original music that utilize instrument soundsets from specific SNES games. Since its release, he has invited various artists to contribute their own SNES songs in an ongoing initiative. Alongside with what is already available on the SNESology youtube page, are other original numbers on pre-existing titles.
Ever wondered how Assassin's Creed or Max Payne would sound on the SNES?
Max Payne 3 remixed with a Contra III soundset and Assassin's Creed II remixed with a Chrono Trigger soundset. Now that is incredible.
