A Sonic x Hello Kitty collaboration has been announced and has me giddy. This ginormous Hello Kitty plush, dressed in Sonic attire, was released with the reopening of Sega's Tokyo Joypolis theme park on July 14th. Hello Kitty is adorned with a Blue Blur costume with the spiky hair and her red bow to top off the look. You know Hello Kitty's gotta go fast when she's sporting Sonic's iconic red shoes, topped with the yellow buckle.
The plush is said to be super-jumbo! I wish I knew the exact measurements. 4Gamer informs us that Sega is likely to bring this collaboration overseas and we can expect to see more of this brilliant collaboration in the summer of 2013. Tomopop also confirms the press release declares such wonderful information.
I can only imagine seeing a line of Hello Kitty plushes where she is dressed as Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, you name it. It would even be cool to tie in other Sanrio characters, as well. I'd like to see Batz Maru as Knuckles, Chococat as Tails, and so on. I can't imagine them taking that route because everyone knows Hello Kitty and only fans of Sanrio know that there are other characters than just her.
Nonetheless, I love this idea, I love this plush, and even better, I love the idea of this plush sitting on my bed!
