I'm not normally a fan of Minimates, but I do love the fact that they have been releasing so many video game characters that I adore. They had released Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, and many more gaming franchise characters.
Minimates are 2" tall and have 14 points of articulation. Not only do they come in video game characters, but they do have lines of comic books, TV series, and movies.
Tomopop shares that Wave 3 of the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Minimates series is coming in the spring. We know that Minimates usually come in sets of two different characters. This new wave will include Captain America and Ryu, and Doctor Doom and Albert Wesker. There will also be specially marked sets that will include She-Hulk and Chun Li, and X-23 and Felicia. If you are looking for the sets that include Thor and Amaterasu, and MODOK and Akuma, you will only be able to find them at Toys "R" Us, since they will be exclusively sold there.
The ones that are really catching my eye are Amaterasu, Chun Li, and Akuma.
