• Taun Taun's Game Finds: ThinkGeek's iCade lives & Kirby's Epic Yarn pouch

ThinkGeek's iCade was an April Fools gag that I, unfortunately, fell for. I wanted it. They made me the fool for believing it. Now, ThinkGeek has decided to release the iCade. Who's the fool now? The iCade allows iPad and iPad 2 owners to slip their iPad into the miniature arcade and play some retro titles.

This desktop-sized arcade cabinet requires Atari's Greatest Hits to be downloaded through iTunes.

Due to the overwhelming response to the product, they now sell it for $99.99. You can pre-order one now, as they will start shipping on June 9th.

Here are the product specifications listed by ThinkGeek:

      • Beautifully retro-styled tabletop arcade cabinet for your otherwise useless iPad
      • iPad connects to the iCADE controls via Bluetooth
      • "Atari Greatest Hits" iPad App ready to go with the iCADE, including support for over 100 classic Atari games.
      • Atari App comes with classic Pong for free, other games available for in-app purchase. 3-game packs are $1. All 100 games are $14.99
      • API to be released later allowing any iOS developer to create iCADE-compatible games.
      • Compatible with both the original iPad and iPad 2

Here are some images of the unboxing of the iCade by Touch Arcade. I really need one now!

While here in the states, we've been waiting for Club Nintendo to add more reward items to the site, Japan's Club Nintendo has been updated with a couple of great items.

The Kirby's Epic Yarn pouch has to be my favorite. I love pouches for my purse, but I know darn well that I wouldn't even use it. I would keep it wrapped and stare at how adorable it looks. I know...I get teased all the time because I don't open my toys. I still have both Kirby and Prince Fluff patches sealed and they will not get used. Nonetheless, I still want this pouch. It features a snap closure for the main port of entry and a zipper pocket on the back. It comes in pink and brown or light and dark blue. Of course yarn Kirby is featured on the front, making it a chipper experience to use it.

Another item up for grabs is the original sound track CD for Donkey Kong Country Returns. The CD features 25 tracks from the game.

Now to wait for our Club Nintendo to add more goodies! With more 3DS games coming out, it would be great to see more items to choose from.
