• Is Tetsuya Nomura Teasing Kingdom Hearts 3?

      Can it be? Is it finally happening?

      In an interview with GameInformer, Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura said that he thinks that it's time for the franchise to head back to consoles. When talking about the current direction of Kingdom Hearts, Nomura said:

      "The PS Vita is definitely a powerful device that is very interesting, but because of its high power, there isn't much of a difference with a console. So even if we were to make a game, we would have to be very careful about how to create it for that device.

      "I also feel that it's about time that Kingdom Hearts should go back to being on a console."
      Ever since Kingdom Hearts II released for the PS2 in 2004, there have been countless spin-offs and handheld titles that have barely advanced the storyline. Don't get me wrong, Birth By Sleep is one of my favorite games I've ever played, but Kingdom Hearts 3 is long overdue.

      In a series that's famous for teasing its next installments in endings and "Secret Endings," this next bit from Nomura should come as no surprise:

      "I'm not able to disclose any information on what's coming next or any other future plans, but you may be able to find a hint if you play through Dream Drop Distance to the very end."
      As a huge fan of the series, all I can say is...please, for the love of God, announce KH3 already so we can begin the unbearable wait until release day.

      Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance hits North America for the 3DS on July 31.

        As much as I want to see this finally happen, why do I feel as though the official trailer we may see will end with this?



        Don't get me wrong, as said earlier, KH3 is way long overdue, however considering this is square-enix we are talking about, we will still probably get more games we don't want until we finally get want we want.

        Please prove me wrong Tetsuya...
