• Valve Throws Hat into the Hardware Game

Looks like Gaben is at it again. Valve entering the hardware scene should come to no surprise to anyone who was around when the Steam console rumors were being tossed around on the internet. On Valve's website a job listing for an industrial designer has opened up. "We’re frustrated by the lack of innovation in the computer hardware space though, so we’re jumping in."

Software companies try their hand at hardware from time to time. They don't always distribute and sell the products they develop. There is always the chance that Valve could sell the rights to an experienced hardware company and have them instead try to sell the product. Not only that, plenty of companies have ambitious projects that wind up as "vapor ware" so this in no way ensures that Valve is gonna stay in the hardware game. Hell they just barely posted this job listing on their website.

PC gamers who feel that their demographic is neglected by the industry should feel a bit more at ease now that Valve is attempting to add new experiences and developments for their platform of choice.

Just another step in Gabe Newell's plan for world domination.

It'd be worth it if it results in a console that can play the upgradeable version of Team Fortress 2.
