I've been a big fan of Video Games Live ever since their awesome orchestrations of the video game industry's greatest music had the pleasure of gracing my auditory system. The video game orchestra is no stranger to E3 either and they'll be making their stop in Los Angeles during the week of E3 2012 to do their thing once again.
On June 6, at the Nokia Theater, Video Games Live will take the stage and will be bringing some new musical entries to its routine. Austin Wintory composed the music for the amazing PlayStation 3 exclusive, Journey, and he'll be onstage conducting the score himself. Music from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will also be featured along with the recently released Diablo III.
Other series expected to be orchestrated include music from Donkey Kong Country, Star Fox, and a special segment for the music of Street Fighter to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the fighting series.
Tommy Tallarico, coordinator of Video Games Live, has received numerous requests for the show over the years, such as music from Pokemon. One of the most requested is the music for Earthworm Jim and fans will get what they asked for when Video Games Live makes its way to E3. I'd love to be there. What are your favorite segments from Video Games Live?
