A lot of gamers dream of working for their favorite company, but this time there is a chance you can own a video game company.
The New York Post has revealed that Electronic Arts, INC. has gone up for sale. The article states that EA is currently in talks with two private equity firms to see if they will take up the company.
EA has made its reputation with titles such as Battlefield, Command and Conquer, Crysis and the Mass Effect trilogy. Although these titles have seen their fair share of sales and critical acclaim, the company has seen a loss of 37% in their share market. No word has been given by any officials on EA, but it has been reported that the shares for the company are going for as low as 20 dollars per share.
The NYP has stated several reasons for the sales drop, including the recent rise of demand of free "casual online" games that can be played on mobile devices, claiming that more people are interested in cheap casual games, rather than a full $60 title.
