Another survey, much like the Pearl Jam one, has surfaced about possible bands getting their own Rock Band title. Harmonix is considering some legendary bands to add to Rock Band's extensive library. Posted on the official Rock Band forums, they turn to the fans for help.
Along with the survey, comes a disclaimer indicating that this is not a promise or hint that Harmonix will actually release these games, to squash rumors before they start.
In the interest of immediately addressing suspicion and heading rumors off before they start, this poll is not an indication, implication, hint, suggestion, guarantee or promise that Harmonix is going make games based on any or all of the bands listed in this poll. We know how excited Rock Band super fans get about uncovering the next big thing, so we wanted to clear that up right from the start.
That being said, community feedback is and always has been absolutely invaluable to us in determining our focus within the world of Rock Band as we move forward. Whether we’re pouring over feature suggestions on the forums, chatting with folks at live events or crunching the numbers on hundreds of thousands of song requests, we want to make sure that the community always has a voice in the development process. Hence the survey!
This survey contains a sampling of some of the most requested artists, bands that have been consistently requested since the initial release of Rock Band. We’d love to get your feedback on which bands you feel are best suited to an artist specific release, similar in tone to what we’ve done with The Beatles and, in a few weeks, Green Day. You can vote for up to three bands on this list, and we encourage you to include a write in if you want to cast a vote for a band we didn’t include. If you don’t want to see any more artist specific Rock Band titles there’s an option for that as well. Finally, logging a vote showing that you don’t want more artist focused titles will prevent you from casting votes for individual bands after the fact… so think carefully before you click!
The survey can be found HERE. There is also an option to fill in about what other bands you would like to see have their dedicated game. Hopefully we can get enough people asking for Bob Marley, The Cure, Morrissey, Jane's Addiction, Fugazi and Bjork or The Sugarcubes, so that my Rock Band dreams will come true, along with the great legendary bands that they have on the survey.
