As Dragon Quest admirers have been awaiting Dragon Quest X to hit the Wii, there may be a possibility that it may be coming to the Wii U.
A shareholders' meeting in Japan last night, led to the spark of this news. Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada was asked why release the game on the Wii, when the system is on its way out, with the Wii U coming in. Wada responded that they are investigating the technical support of the Wii U, to make the conclusion if the game will be released for the Wii and handle the support to play on the Wii U.
Wada was also asked if they are considering Dragon Quest 1, 2 and 3 to be ported over, since they would be straight ports from the Famicom and Super Famicom versions. Wada concluded, "that the games are being left as is on purpose in order to celebrate the franchise's twenty-fifth anniversary," says Andriasang.
