Xbox Live Arcade's First Free-to-Play Game This Fall: Happy Wars
With PSN+ Owners getting so many neat things every week, one has to wonder why Xbox owners seem to be getting the short end of the stick. Well, this fall it seems we may finally get something worth while, and it is free!
Developed by 'Toylogic,' Happy Wars is a "massively multiplayer action mischief game" where up to 30 players can play in 15 vs 15 battles. When the game comes out, Gold Members will be able to download for free and start playing. As for Silver Members, nothing has been said yet, although I'm sure that you probably will have to be Gold to play (or at least online).
Now this is already looking like an entertaining game, and doesn't seem to be tieing this game with any kind of ads (Doritos Crash Course anyone?). Although I do admit that the play style is reminding me of another kind of massively multiplayer action game on the PS3, Fat Princess; from how some of the characters look to even how they have 16 vs 16 action and have six classes compared to this game's three. At least to be fair to Happy Wars, this will have a deep customzation to how you can set up your character (although I hope this doesn't mean it can lead to some heavily unbalanced games).
What will we expect to see from Happy Wars when it comes out? Will it be a fun game to play? and just how "free" will it be?
