Yeah. I have done some traveling. My goal is to go to Jamaica one day. That's the place I'd really love to visit. But I want to go into Kingston, Jamaica. I have a deep affection for the music and the culture. One day I will go to Japan, too. I told Rei that we'll travel there one day. It would be great if he went with us. Rei is a sweet guy. One of our treasured friends. Most of our great friends were made through 8bit. =)
School and family, actually. After traveling, I wanted to be closer to family, and get my degree. But getting to see the world, I wouldn't trade that for anything. But it seems you do a lot of traveling yourself.
So what made you settle down in Waco?
Let's take the IP issue... When you're going after IP data of anyone that visited, it's like a Pandora box, which I can't believe Shapiro (the judge) didn't notice. The EU has quite a lot of privacy laws and may go after SoE just for this! O_o; Then there's the Paypal issue... While that's all legal and good for third parties to fork over info (as our courts seem to think that the 4th Amendment doesn't apply to the Constitution), it raises MORE questions in regards to other people's privacy. So yes, it's a legal tactic, but it's the definition of a bad move on Sony's part. It's like Sony is sending a massive signal that they can't compete to anyone that even is thinking of being their consumer base. Let's face it, with the company as big as it is, with all the diverse interests, it's not just stabbing itself in the foot, it's cannabalizing itself.
He he, I'm actually working on a website later on for working with Japanese. And after being there for 7 years, I think I learned a little bit when I was there. *whistles innocently*. The entire problem with the Sony issue is what they're doing to Geohotz, in regards to control of the PS3. While they want jurisdiction in their hometown, the issue is actually a smidge more complex than Sony seems to think that going after Geohot will intend.
Oh that's right, I can ask Mr. Reigami what you said. He's been to Japan and has family there. =D
Ooof, I'm going to have to learn what you said. lol. Thank you! I do understand what you mean about privacy and what not, but I know that Sony is doing this with the intent of finding monetary donations from other states, just so that the trial can move out of George Hotz's hometown. This would work in their favor. Of course they are accessing his YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. The one thing I found odd, was that they are also checking IP's to those who visited his site. I'm a journalist, I have to visit to ensure I get the news out there correctly.
Arigato ne. Still have a lot of questions because it seems the world really is going to hell in a handbasket. But the place looks pretty cool. Yoroshiku.
Hey hey Tech Jay! Makes it a whole lot easier talking on here. We're not limited to such a small amount of characters. teee... enjoy!
